My Grace Is Sufficient

As a young girl, I spent most days at my best friend’s house.  I clearly remember that her mother had a large, antique cross-stitched piece hanging over her bed that read, “My Grace Is Sufficient.”  It stopped me dead in my tracks every time I entered the room.  I would stand there staring, contemplating what it could mean.  Not knowing that it was a bible verse, I was free to interpret this phrase however I pleased.  This project is my photographic interpretation.

My work is inherently feminine.  I’ve committed to a project that is overtly feminine and has a traditionally beautiful aesthetic without apology.  I am celebrating the quiet power of women and honoring the graceful qualities of Mother Nature.
